BuggaGrill is a mobile-first Phaser game built for Reddit Devvit. Players run a chaotic burger stand, tap during OPEN shifts to earn money, restock supplies, buy upgrades, unlock stronger menu items, and invest toward a rocket launch ending.

The hook is replaying to launch the rocket faster, beat records, and improve final run stats. The game uses Phaser for animated food effects, glowing buttons, fire/smoke atmosphere, upgrade modals, weekly reports, and a rocket launch ending.

BuggaGrill has officially been submitted!

BuggaGrill is a Phaser-powered Reddit Devvit game where players run a chaotic burger stand, tap during OPEN shifts, restock supplies, buy upgrades, unlock stronger food items, and race toward a rocket launch ending.

The game evolved from a simple burger-tapping loop into a full mobile-first arcade/idle experience with:

  • glowing tap effects
  • day/night shop cycles
  • supplies and restocking
  • employee and manager upgrades
  • food unlocks like burgers, fries, combos, and supers
  • weekly reports
  • rocket investment progression
  • rocket launch ending scene
  • run stats and records
  • Reddit Devvit playtest deployment

The final contest build is live in Reddit Devvit playtest and playable through the BuggaGrill subreddit.

This was built with: Reddit Devvit, Devvit Web, Phaser, TypeScript, and Vite.

BuggaGrill’s main hook: Grill it. Upgrade it. Launch it.
