Inspiration
We see Defi space increasing, but for Defi to become a viable alternative to traditional finance, there is a need for a liquid and efficient options market. In conventional finance options, markets are 100x the spot markets, and we believe the same to happen in the Defi. Hence, the opportunity is huge for us.
What it does
Buffer Finance is an AMM-based options trading platform. We also use our base tech for on-chain options pricing and settlement to offer another product line that includes DOVs for on-chain yield seekers and treasury management for DAOs.
Challenges we ran into
A significant challenge is the unavailability of the infrastructure of different chains. We built an in-house EVM events indexer system for developers to solve it that allows us to expand to any chain at a very high speed.

We are audited and live on the BNB chain, where we have sold more than 550+ options on different assets worth a notional value of $1.6M +
What we learned
We learned a lot about pricing options and how to build Defi native pricing and oracle systems.
What's next for Buffer Finance
The next step for Buffer Finance is to become a base layer for options trading on multiple chains. That can be used by individuals, DAOs, Traders, and market makers to build a robust options market, enabling lots of value to flow in from their centralized counterpart.
