Inspiration

Financial goals are hard to track especially as a student. We wanted to make an app to simplify finances for us.

What it does

It gives you an AI assistant that advises you on how to manage your finances and allows you to track your spending on one site.

How we built it

We used React for the frontend with Auth0 for logging in, and Node.js for the backend. We utilized ChatGPT's API to create a tailored chatbot.

Challenges we ran into

Managing a clean version control tree through Git.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud that we were able to create a working application that solves a real problem.

What we learned

We learned basic skills in front end development and how to implement key login features to ensure security of financial information.

What's next for Budgeteer

Expanding to recommendations for credit cards and allowing score reports.
