Inspiration

Thinking about retirement at age 18-20, and planning for the future lead us to think of an idea that helps us in advance.

What it does

Website that uses AI to calculate your budget from income and expenses. Allows for a digestible website for users to understand how to work with their income and money.

How we built it

We used Google AI Studio to help up build the foundation of the project. Then we worked around with the AI back-end to make the advice much better.

Challenges we ran into

It was hard getting the program to run on different devices and running the code locally broke a few times. Connecting the work to the GoDaddy was also something new we experience and we did not know how long the domains would take to connect.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We built a website and incorporated AI to assists users who are trying to calculate their savings into retirement. We are proud of how we were able to set this up where it would let us showcase this project to multiple people and have lots of users try it out and see how it could help them in their daily lives.

What we learned

We learned that we can incorporate AI into our project making calculations more efficient. Instead of having hand written calculations, we could get AI to make sure the mathematics for our project are correct in a way that is adjustable based on every user.

What's next for BudgetBoss

We want to incorporate more features for the website, which allow users to assist with Debt, more research options, and some more in depth details on finding specific options for their categories that they want to budget, such as finding different housings to find and assist the user to get more savings.
