Inspiration:
After finding out the theme it took us a long time to find out what to do. But then I thought about some videos I saw online about little crafts that people did so they could manage their budget.
What it does:
Next, I had the idea of making an app that would regulate what you spent and your budget(s)
How we built it:
The main.py or Python file serves as the backend of the budget tracker, managing requests from the frontend for adding expenses and setting budget goals. It maintains the application's state by storing the current expenses and budget goals, and it communicates with the frontend using JSON to provide real-time updates. By leveraging Flask, it enables a dynamic web application that responds to user inputs efficiently. The index.html or HTML file serves as the user interface for the budget tracker, enabling users to add expenses, set budget goals, and visualize their spending with a chart. It features forms for input and dynamically updates the interface based on user interactions. The file also utilizes JavaScript and the Fetch API to communicate with the backend, ensuring a seamless experience.
Challenges we ran into:Diya
We had a lot of difficulties sharing the project. Also we had a lot of syntax errors
Accomplishments that we're proud of:Diya
we are proud of finishing on time. we also are proud at making our project very complex code.
What we learned:Rushda
We learned how to work as a team and how to keep working without easily getting distracted.
What's next for Budget Tracker:Rushda
We want to add a pie chart and let users customize their colors on the app to suit their liking and let them enjoy using Budget Tracker!
