Inspiration

We were inspired to create an application that interacts with the user as well as gives insights into money management given a imputed budget and customizable categories and corresponding budgets.

What it does

Prompts the user to input a budget then add categories of spending as well as the limits of spending associated with the categories.

How we built it

Using replit combined with python as well as incorporating pygame, we created a user interface with buttons that allow for user input until satisfaction and then provides the user with a customized graph of their allowable spending budget.

Challenges we ran into

We faced many challenges, but our main one was coding effective buttons and allowing user input and collecting keystrokes.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are very proud of the teamwork that we displayed and how the code that we created works. We are proud of each other for completing our very first hackathon.

What we learned

We learned that patience is an important part of coding as well that troubleshooting and talking through problems helps us solve most of the problems.
