Budget My Trip

Inspiration

Let me tell you what inspired me to take up this project by asking a few questions, I asked myself.

If I want to go somewhere on a vacation, how much does it cost?
Which mode of transport will be cheaper and costlier?
in which mode of transport I can save time?
What would be the cost of accommodation
Will this trip come under my budget? Obviously, it will continue,

and you might have also experienced the same. At these moments first few things you do is, check things on Google and try jotting down a plan yourself, then take the help of friends or family regarding their suggestions and experience, visit some tourism business people to know the market rate and cost of the trip, and plan the expenses. But what if you have someone dedicated to telling/ suggesting to you or answering these questions in seconds? Yes, here comes our bot “Budget my Trip”, an AI-based virtual assistant to help your plan the trip under your budget.

What it does

The bot will collect the required information from the user such as a place to visit, mode of transportation, and type of accommodation required. Based on the given preferences, Bot will give the complete cost of the trip and plan for how to travel, where to say, and how much costs per day. If the given plan is for use, the user can try other combinations of preferences too. When use gets a suitable plan for their convenience, user can download and use the plan.

How we built it

We built it on Kore.ai and trained with the data collected from Google maps.

Challenges we ran into

We can’t assure all no-code applications are not completely no-code. To implement our algorithm we need the developer to know JavaScript. So here being a No-code advocate, it was not easy pile to implement the algorithm in JS. Major challenges are including the conditions we planned in the algorithm to implement in the application.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The prototype of the application is ready and the algorithm is ready for one location, using which we can frame the conditions for n number of locations.
