Inspiration
In a few short years, I will have a full-time job and will need to budget my money to make sure I don't overspend on anything.
What it does
After you click on one of the options for inputting your salary, the website calculates your monthly salary and divides it into different amounts for each budget item.
How we built it
This was built in repl.it using HTML to form the backbone, javascript to manage the actions, and CSS to make the website look nice.
Challenges we ran into
It was difficult to find a way to format everything properly.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of the multitude of options for the salary input we gave.
What we learned
We learned how to make buttons that allow inputs that can be used to calculate values that can then be displayed.
What's next for Budget Calculator
We could add more specific items for each part of the budget, for example, giving a list of food you could buy each week with the money you have.
