Inspiration

Our group wanted to learn something new, so we all decided to use REACT to build your simple budget app.

What it does

Our app makes it easy for those with consistent income to select preferred income budget distributions according to their needs. For example, if you are working part-time with fewer expenses, you can select a budget split with more savings, like the 50/30/20. However, you are working full-time and an independent with more expenses, a budget split like 80/10/10 might work better for you.

How we built it

Our group decided to use the REACT framework, which gave us the freedom to have dynamic functionality within one space.

Challenges we ran into

The issues we faced as a group include a knowledge gap due to unfamiliarity with REACT.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to get the primary function of our project working, which was to give users a visual of suggested budget splits to improve their savings.

What we learned

As a group, we all came out with a better understanding of the REACT framework and made a project that caters to the ease of use for our intended demographic.

What's next for Budget Builder

Budget Builder has endless growth with possible upgrades including API implementation, libraries, various visuals, and improving the appearance of the UI.
