Inspiration
This project was inspired by the lack of free budgeting tools that were suited to what we actually need. Keeping track of financial information can be difficult because you can have multiple methods of payment or different sources of income, so we wanted to create a single site where we could have a report over our finances. Simply saving money isn't enough anymore, so we wanted to provide additional resources to how to save better, where you might invest your money, what financial support you are qualified for, and more.
What it does
The Budgeting Budgies is website for getting user's financial information to guide them to a budgeting calculator to give them a report on their expenses and recommend them to other available resources.
How we built it
We used Figma to build the overall design and coded it in HTML and CSS. We used goDaddy to make it a live website.
Challenges we ran into
We had trouble with getting consistent outputs of our code despite having the same code and the same compilers. For example, we originally started planning on creating our project in React, but we ran into problems where it worked on one computer but not the other. Because of this, we had to switch to simple HTML and CSS.

What's next for Budget Budgies
Budget Budgies aims to make a working calculator and ML to generate personalized recommendations to resources.
