Inspiration
We wanted to find an easier and effective way to budget our monthly expenses!
What it does
This website calculates our budget from our monthly finances that we input and recommends us grocery stores and restaurants we would like to explore based on our monthly budget. After that, you input how much you spent at that location and it deducts that value from the total budget that you inputted.
How we built it
We used HTML JavaScript, VS code and GitHub to built this website.
Challenges we ran into
We were very ambitious in our design idea, but the time constraint as well as the amount of data needed for the project was overestimated.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We’re proud of what we managed to accomplish in terms of design, and of what we have learned in the process in terms of troubleshooting and debugging code.
What we learned
We learned to implement different languages within a project and learned better ways to troubleshooting and debugging code. We also learned to collaborate with our team members on VS code.
What's next for Budget Buddy
We hope to expand our design to more functionalities, locations, and categories of budgeting, such as entertainment, traveling, and housing options.
