Inspiration

We have a lot of friends who don't know how to manage their money. Therefore we wanted to create an application that can help them be more conscious about their money spendings while also giving them up to date recommendations on how to spend their money more wisely.

What it does

Budget Buddy helps users track expenses, identify spending patterns, and provide personalized saving tips in real time.

How we built it

We used Replit as our main framework and employed python, flask, and react to code the backend and front portions of our application.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into connecting our front end and back end to properly run the AI mechanism of the application.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of completing the skeleton of our work within 24 hours. We were able to build a fully functioning budget tracking application while polishing and learning new skills.

What we learned

We learned that we were capable of completing a project within a day.

What's next for Budget Buddy

We are planning on adding more features that would allow users to view stock trends using a linear regression model and creating a login feature so that people can create an account.
