Inspiration

My inspiration stemmed from my personal experience with budgeting. I used a google sheet to track my monthly expenditures and would have to manually input every transaction I've had to try to manage and control my spending. This is an inefficient way to monitor expenses and I wanted to learn more about financial literacy. For that reason, I created this app interface called BudgetBear to help others that may be struggling with the same issue and want to learn about personal finance.

What it does

Budget Bear tracks finances such as monthly expenditures, cash inflows, and savings. It can also create a budget based on income and estimated fixed expenses to help users budget. Alongside budgeting and analytics, the app teaches users more about finance through financial literacy courses.

How we built it

I created an app interface through Figma.

Challenges we ran into

]Using Figma for the first time, I had to learn all the different modules. It was difficult for me to navigate the run in programs to bring in external features such as icons or images. I also had difficulty trying to create my pie graph.

What we learned

What's next for Budget Bear

Budget Bear will be moved onto Thunkable so real app interactions can occur!
