Inspiration
Our Inspiration started from the fact that many Americans do not spend their money wisely whether its spending money they do not have or spending too much unnecessarily. We live in an average community where many people spend more than they earn. We would like to improve that helping people save money to live better lives.
Purpose of our app:
Our app is to help people manage their money by first creating an account consisting of their financial information. After they create their account, BudgeMan would give them a budget fit for them for the month based on the information they have provided. With that budget, they can now go shopping for various products available on BudgeMan which is customized to their budget.
How it works
The user creates a profile: personal information such as their name and address, to mail Items to their location, and financial information: Salary/anum, and their Housing and Utility bill information, to average their budget for the month. With that budget, the user can now go shopping on BudgeMan and buy the products they would like using the ebay API.
Challenges I ran into
-Had some difficulty implementing the ebay API to our Webpage.
- Inserting Google Forms into our Webpage.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
- I am proud of our design, the concept of our Webpage and how it can help many people, and as beginners, to be able to use HTML5 and CSS to put our project together.
What I learned
I learned how to use HTML5 and CSS, and how it is best implemented. I learned that CSS was very useful to make our ideas look alive on our Webpage and how we used HTML5 to get our end result. I learned as I programmed this Webpage with my team about HTML5, CSS, and how to get/use a domain, what an API is, and cover the minimal basics of programming.
What's next for BudgeMan
My team and I would like to take Budgeman to the next level by having more products to choose from, give the user the feature to input their exact financial information, including taxes, and their average bills for the month for a more accurate budget. We hope that with the concept of our Webpage, we can also launch an app available for Android and iOS mobile devices.
