Inspiration

Problem Statement

Enterprises divide internal operations into various teams which create operational silos. This results in inefficiency in day-to-day operations, lack of comprehensive insights, increased burden on the workforce which leads to increased costs from an operational standpoint.

Proposal

Over the course of this hackathon, I've explored how Salesforce & Agentforce can be used to eliminate operational silos & provide unparalleled operational insights to a company. A variety of decisions which traditionally requires the collaboration of several teams could be made within seconds by storing the internal operational data in Salesforce. This can then be leveraged by Agentforce to deliver comprehensive insights within seconds. This approach would be deliver immense benefits to the company as every internal decision would consider all the facets of internal ops.

What it does

Note: For this hackathon, I've focused on providing insights using Agentforce in 3 key departments - Talent management, Resource Management & Compliance management as these are universal & applicable to all enterprises. The action items based on the insights is specific to each company & hence won't be applicable to everyone so I've not chosen to focus on that at this stage.

BInO - Buddy for Internal Operations provides unparalleled internal operational insights to enterprises. It does this by eliminating operational silos & considers all facets of internal ops while making decisions. At this stage, BInO is able to:

  • Make talent management decisons while factoring in project management data
  • Makes resource management easy by accessing facility management & project management data sources.
  • Enhance talent management data quality using project management & day-to-day operational data.
  • Help employees ensure they are compliant with company policies during their day-to-day operations.

How we built it

  • Data - I've simulated enterprise operational data of the 3 departments using Claude
  • Centralized Internal Ops Repository - Used Salesforce to create a single source of truth
  • Agent - Created using Agentforce & Einstein Studio

Challenges we ran into

  • Identifying the best way to leverage Salesforce to capture the internal ops data of an enterprise
  • Agent had to learn the relationships between various entities in internal operations
  • Teaching the agent to make comprehensive insights
  • Increasing the overlap between various facets of internal operations

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • A singular source of truth was created using Salesforce
  • The agent factors in data from various sources to deliver insights with minimal prompting.
  • The agent successfully eliminated operational silos & delivered comprehensive insights within seconds which would traditionally require collaboration between various teams.

What we learned

Salesforce offers various tools for the easy integration & centralization of internal operations. Using Agentforce & Einstein studio, the data can be parsed in real-time by AI agents to extract insights the factor in all the facets of internal ops

What's next for Buddy for Internal Ops

  • I'd love to actually create an enterprise solution that provides operational insights to a real company. If you're interested let me know :D
  • If I had more time I'd have demonstrated how all the facets of an organization could be used to deliver insights
