Buddy is an AI-powered travel orchestration platform that transforms fragmented travel planning into one seamless experience. Rather than acting as just another booking platform, Buddy intelligently coordinates flights, hotels, and airport transportation so travelers can manage their entire journey from a single application.

Travelers can book flights, hotels, and airport transfers individually or together as part of a single trip. Buddy continuously monitors travel events and automatically synchronizes connected bookings. For example, if a flight is delayed, Buddy updates the itinerary, notifies the hotel of the revised arrival time, reschedules airport transportation, and informs the traveler through real-time notifications.

The platform is designed to reduce travel stress, eliminate manual coordination between service providers, and give travelers confidence that every part of their journey is connected.

AWS Databases Used

  • Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL – Serves as the primary relational database, storing users, trips, bookings, travel events, notifications, payments, and the relationships between flights, hotels, and transportation providers. Aurora was selected for its PostgreSQL compatibility, high availability, automatic backups, and enterprise-grade scalability.

The Problem

Travel planning today is fragmented. Flights, hotels, and airport transportation are often booked through different platforms that do not communicate with one another. When disruptions such as flight delays or cancellations occur, travelers must manually contact hotels, reschedule transportation, and adjust their itineraries. This creates unnecessary stress, wasted time, and poor customer experiences.

The Solution

Buddy introduces intelligent travel orchestration. Every journey revolves around a unified Trip that connects flights, accommodation, and transportation into one coordinated itinerary. The platform automatically reacts to travel disruptions by updating dependent bookings, notifying service providers, and keeping travelers informed through a single interface.

Instead of simply helping users book travel, Buddy actively manages the journey from departure to arrival, delivering a safer, more convenient, and stress-free travel experience.
