Buddify

Inspiration

The idea for the app came to mind when the mother of one of the participants told a story about a girl with diabetes. Due to illness, she had problems with movement and many friends stopped communicating with her, which had a negative impact. Perhaps if there had been an app like Bodify back then, a lot of things would have changed.

What it does

The application helps people with disabilities find people in the same situation, which will get rid of loneliness and get support.

How we built it

First, we did research and identified the problem that potential users are experiencing. Then we discussed the solution, made the layout and design. When the design was ready, it was time to develop with code. After developing the application, we started working on videos, presentations and pitches (Code in swift with UIKit in Xcode).

Challenges we ran into

The main challenge is the lack of time, because there are only two of us in the team and each is responsible for a lot. However, we managed to meet the deadline thanks to brilliant teamwork and mutual understanding.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Most of all, we are proud that we were not afraid to solve such a big problem.

What we learned

We learned how to create a whole application prototype, the basis of which is just an idea. "All from Nothing"

What's next for Buddify

While participating in hackathons, we delved into the problem of people with disabilities and realized how serious it is. It would be great to recruit a team, collect more information and create a quality application that would make a difference
