Inspiration

As college students, we understand what it feels to get our paycheck one day and spend it all within a week. We want to promote and encourage others, especially college students like us to have responsibility toward their finance. We want users to understand their budget and financial situation before making important decisions such as buying house, car, open a new line of credit cards, and more.

What it does

This is an Android app that takes financial data from users and help users with visualization, analysis and set budget for themselves. Bud-visor AI features a fully local AI agent that helps users with better financial literacy and responsibilities. The Android app takes financial data provided by users to review their income and expense. Users can customize their profile, compete with friends in saving, sync their bank accounts to import files

How we built it

We built it to run on Android phone using React Native, TypeScript and ollama.rn.

Challenges we ran into

We faced difficulties in time managements, functions integrations and to make the app deployed on Android.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We built together a fully functional app on Android that works with a 100% local AI agent.

What we learned

We learned more about mobile development and React Native, integration of AI on Android locally.

What's next for Bud-visor AI

Abilities to scan receipts, read from PDF, sync with bank accounts and more.
