Inspiration
I’m passionate about living life to the fullest, which is why I take my bucket list very seriously. I try to check off at least one item every year, so keeping my bucket list handy is essential. That’s why I created Bucketize, and after researching the market, I found that I'm not the only one who wants their bucket list handy.
What it does
Bucketize is a bucket list app that helps you easily create, organize, and manage your bucket lists.
How we built it
Bootstrapped, all alone, and with nothing but inspiration from exising apps that didn't do Bucket listing the right way. I researched, designed, and developed this app in 2 months of working on in my spare time.
Challenges we ran into
One of the biggest challenges was working with Supabase and PostgreSQL for the first time. However, I was able to overcome these hurdles with the help of their amazing documentation.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I managed to deliver a minimum viable product (MVP) within 8 weeks of part-time work. While it might not be groundbreaking in the indie-dev community, it was a significant achievement for me given my full-time job and other commitments.
What we learned
I now have a solid tech stack that I can use to build more apps faster than ever before.
What's next for Bucketize: A Bucket List App
After shipping the latest feature, Experiences, my top priority is to ensure the app’s stability and user satisfaction which might mean adding "get started" guides and suggestions.
