Inspiration - helping the loneliness

What it does -this platform is a gateway to joy and companionship for older people, as they embark on life's adventures with new and old friends and families, sprinkled with fun and humor.

We put in a lot of effort to familiarize ourselves with both back-end and front-end development and eventually decided to use Webflow to showcase the concept of our project. If we had created it from scratch, we would have used Google Cloud Platform (GCP) as a secure platform that provides added confidence for users. We also worked simultaneously on another web development framework, which had its tradeoffs.

Challenges we ran into -We have been facing difficulties when it comes to initiating and configuring our work environments. We encountered various issues and uncertainties during the process, such as not knowing which tools or software to use, encountering compatibility issues, and dealing with technical errors that prevented us from starting our work. As a result, we have been unable to proceed with our tasks and meet our deadlines the way we had envisioned.

Accomplishments that we're proud of - Together, we learned invaluable lessons from the inspiring talks, enlightening workshops, and supportive mentors. We stood as one, through thick and thin, and emerged victorious with even greater support than we had when we first started.

What we learned - this was our first hackathon we got to appreciate the content we learned throughout the week and learn to work collaboratively as a team and network with a diverse pool of hackers from different parts of the city. We wish had more than 24 hours.

What's next for Bucket - We are currently working on a project to build a web application tailored to our target market. However, we feel that our knowledge in this area is limited, and we wish we had more than 24 hours a day to learn all the ins and outs of creating an interactive and user-friendly web app. We understand that designing a web app that is intuitive and easy to use is crucial for engaging users and building a loyal customer base. Moreover, we also recognize the importance of incorporating added security features for our older users to ensure their privacy and protect them from potential online threats.
