Inspiration
Chiragh Education Technologies facilitates "Bubbly Bazaar," a flagship product designed to teach financial literacy through simulated retail store management. During these activations at various educational institutions, we observed that effective delivery is heavily labor-intensive for facilitators. While developing the sixth version for an 18+ demographic including undergraduate students and young professionals our team leveraged our MBA backgrounds to identify a critical market gap. Although we have utilized simulations from Harvard Business Publishing, we found that existing options lack the localization and contextual relevance necessary for the Pakistani market. We are now focused on bridging this gap by creating simulations specifically tailored to our local economic landscape.
What it does
The simulation is specifically designed for undergraduate students and young professionals, offering a comprehensive learning experience in retail management. It covers core concepts including Islamic Finance tools, the significance of strategic partnerships (such as Mudaraba), and the critical roles of location selection, business scale, and inventory management. Participants apply the 4Ps of marketing Product, Placement, Price, and Promotion, to compete for high rankings on a Balanced Scorecard that measures internal processes, financial performance, and customer service quality. In this immersive environment, users are tasked with managing a simulated chain of retail stores, effectively bridging the gap between theoretical business knowledge and localized market realities.
How we built it
Our development journey began by mapping our core physical board game mechanics into a robust digital logic flow, which allowed us to define the user experience and critical decision pathways. Next, we leveraged the capabilities of Gemini to rapidly prototype and iterate on our UX design, transforming these conceptual foundations into a functional interface. Finally, utilizing Google Cloud infrastructure, we engineered and deployed a full-fledged simulation software marking Pakistan’s first digital tool dedicated to scaling financial literacy education.
Challenges we ran into
Our development began with initial prototyping on the Antigravity platform; however, we quickly outgrew its token limitations, necessitating a migration to the Google Cloud Console. Transitioning to this more robust infrastructure allowed us to scale the web application effectively, though this shift presented two primary technical hurdles. First, we had to refine our prompt engineering to ensure our AI models accurately interpreted our complex business logic and requirements. Second, we encountered stability issues during AI processing, which occasionally led to system rollbacks, requiring significant time to debug and restore our progress.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Zero-to-One Deployment: Transitioning from an analog board game to a fully deployed Cloud Run web application in under two weeks without an in-house engineering team. First-of-its-Kind Localized Tool: Building Pakistan's first digital business simulation tailored to regional market realities and Islamic micro-entrepreneurship principles. Immediate Enterprise purchase: Karachi School of Business and Leadership (KSBL) bought 10 seats immediately after testing it. Senior leadership at over 15 elite institutions was very responsive to the free demo link we shared, including the Country Head of the IFC, State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), Standard Chartered, HBL, Meezan Bank.
What we learned
Developing this solution without a traditional software engineering team served as a powerful proof of concept: the barrier to building complex, high-impact software has fundamentally shifted. By leveraging "vibe coding" workflows and the sophisticated capabilities of Gemini and Google Cloud, we demonstrated that the technical execution of a product is no longer the primary bottleneck for innovation. Instead, the focus has pivoted to the founder’s ability to articulate a clear business vision. This paradigm shift represents a true democratization of innovation, empowering entrepreneurs to transform localized market gaps into functional digital realities through precise conceptualization and AI-driven development.
What's next for Bubbly Bazaar - Micro-simulation
In future, we will be making the simulation more inclusive by adding more scenarios to fill in other industrial gaps. We will take the help of ai to make it more flexible for every domain of professional lives
