Bubbles is a trustless, anonymous discussion platform for verified professionals. It was born from a simple need:
People want to speak honestly about their work, but can’t, because most platforms require giving up privacy to gain access.
We were inspired by platforms like Blind, which proved the demand for anonymous professional spaces. But those platforms still rely on logins, centralized accounts, and stored user data.
Bubbles flips that model: instead of trusting a platform, users prove they belong through zero-knowledge credentials (like a zkTLS proof tied to their work email). This unlocks access to private, credential-gated communities without ever revealing identity.
Inside a Bubble, users don’t have usernames. They post anonymously, with badges unlocked through verified credentials, like “F500 engineer under 30” or “Series A founder.”
How We Built It
We built Bubbles as a mobile-first web app using XION’s gasless, account-abstracted infrastructure. The core features include:
- zkTLS-based verification of work emails
- Credential-gated community access
- Integration with Reclaim Protocol to support identity sources like GitHub, Gmail, X, LinkedIn
- Clean, anonymous posting UI with contextual credibility
What We Learned
One of the hardest challenges was building a UI that feels intuitive while respecting strong privacy guarantees. Designing a platform with no usernames, no logins, and no visible identity, yet still feels personal, pushed us to rethink standard product patterns. Working with zkTLS and Reclaim also gave us deeper insight into the tradeoffs between privacy, usability, and verifiability and how to balance them effectively.
