Inspiration
We wanted to go back to the roots of Physics and try to model experiments done around 200 years ago with particles we discovered afterwards.
What it does
It simulates a bubble chamber with a constant magnetic field pointing into the page. It runs different particles inside and it plots the paths taken by those particles.
How we built it
We used Python and entered the proper equations in it. At every iteration, it would recalculate the position of the particles and plot it
Challenges we ran into
Animating the graph, cancellation and desensitization errors.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Successfully simulating paths of multiple particles and showing what would happen if a particle decays in the middle
What we learned
We learned more about the particles' behaviors across different values of the magnetic fields.
What's next for Bubble Chamber
Applying all known particles to test the theory behind each. Even applying unknown random numbers to see what's up.
