Inspiration

The Ciena challenge was a great source of inspiration! We wanted to make something simple but sturdy.

What it does

It's a simple chat app. Connect with another using with a QR code or a link, then chat. Nothing gets saved and no logins are required.

How we built it

We built the app using Java, the JSSE framework and Flutter for the UI.

Challenges we ran into

Configuring the SSL sockets, wrangling with certificates, and putting it all together into the Flutter front-end!

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Getting all the SSL sockets setup and working! Also built an awesome UI.

What we learned

A lot about how networks are connected together and how our internet connections are secured. Also certificates, and how they establish the trust between a server and client.

What's next for Bubble

Putting it all together and slowly expanding our feature-set!
