Our Inspiration

In this day and age, donations are not always efficiently distributed by non-profit organizations. In fact, some non-profits spend more donations on "administrative fees" than actual expenses. This decreases trust towards charities and demotivates donors from supporting a cause, building a school in a developing community, or covering health fees for children suffering from cancer.

As a result, most individuals choose to not donate. However, this is not the solution as we all have something to share in this world,

Fortunately, bTrue provides a solution to this problem !

What it does

bTrue is a decentralized app that uses smart contracts to ensure trustworthy donations. By using our platform, charities organizations make a contract with us and become compliant to the contract.

How we built it

We built the app using technologies such as solidity, hyperledger, microsoft azure, financial APIs

Challenges we ran into

In the beginning we struggled to understand how block chain and the ecosystem works.However, we were able to learn fast and develop a working smart contract. Following that our next challenge was to figure out a way to leverage the system even though people use mostly fiat currencies. We were able to solve this by incorporating financial APIs.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are mostly proud to have been able to come up with this idea. As it is a an effective way to use smart contracts for social justice, , and transparency. We are also proud to have been able to work as a group.
