Inspiration
Inspired by the Stranger Things alphabet wall, where communication happens through indirect interaction with a shared structure instead of direct messaging.
What it does
Allows two separate worlds to communicate using a shared alphabet wall. One side selects letters, and the other side interprets glowing letters to form meaning.
How we built it
Built as a web application with a 26-letter alphabet grid. Letter states are synchronized in real time using Firebase.
Challenges we ran into
Designing communication without direct messaging, maintaining real-time synchronization, and keeping interactions simple and constrained.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Successfully implemented a state-based communication system that conveys meaning using only shared interaction.
What we learned
Learned about real-time databases, state synchronization, and designing communication systems under strict constraints.
What's next for Bryers-Wall
Adding multi-user support, improving visual feedback, and exploring other symbolic or constrained communication methods.
