Inspiration

We wanted to use technology to make a direct impact on the domestic homeless community. A way to do this is to increase homelessness attendance at food and homeless shelters.

What it does

Our platform allows for you to conveniently donate using smartphones. Shelters can distribute QR code IDs to homeless person, allowing users to scan and donate to a shelter where the homeless person can then come to pick up food.

The Tech Stack

iPhone app - Swift Website / Server - HTML/CSS/Javascript, Python Flask, sqlite3

Server securely returns database info, including payment info for the shelter the homeless person frequences
App requests and processes payment/donation
Shelter can provide additional food using donation
