Inspiration: Me and my teammate both enjoy music and were inspired by our favorite artist Rodrick Waverson. We used our limited knowledge of pygame to create a 2D fully functional game.
What it does: The bases of this game is to collect music notes that progressively bring the life back to the dull player. At the end you collect a reward (a repaired heart).
How we built it: For our language we used python along with pygame to develop the game.
Biggest Challenge: The biggest challenge we ran into is player movement and collisions. Player sprite refused to move or not fall off the screen.
biggest Accomplishment: Our biggest accomplishment was the level design. It was very tedious but it came out better than expected.
What we learned: We learned a lot about teamwork but we also learned about teaching ourselves things. We were already good at python but pygame was need and I think we tackled it pretty well in 24hrs.
What's next for Broken Hearts: Broken Hearts is in a pre pre pre beta stage so, we plan to continue development of the game and work on our programming skills.
