Objective

The goal of this challenge is to build a small RESTful API allowing users to save recipes and to get their aggregate nutrition information based on the nutrition information of each ingredient, using the USDA Nutrient Database API (https://ndb.nal.usda.gov/ndb/doc/index). The API should be accessible from any API client (cli/curl, Postman, etc).

I could make new amazing friends and partnership (awesome guys), in addition I have learned a lot about coding and showing results as fast as we could. I've given the start of the project, implementing laravel's framework, creating routes and controller, determine the structure and patterns of our project . I could help the team to add dependency injection, helped fixing bugs and developing a pattern for the API communication. I've written README's content and I tried to put all the informarion in an easy and understandable structure .

On this project I helped with division of tasks and the understanding of the USDA API. I created the API Key, helped my teammates to use the API. Then, I implemented the function to get food ID and name. Also, I implemented the function that use food ID to bring all information about that food. Likewise, I helped with tests, and my teammates to solve some problems. Also, that project was only possible because we work together and we helped each other.

I met great professionals, and, together we managed to overcome barriers such as the distance among the teammates and the short time nature of the project.
On this project I established the Model Layer standards using Eloquent, and, implemented database versioning using Migrations pattern. Furthermore, I implemented User, Recipe and Foods management, and helped with planning, testing, and, bug fixing.
Finally, I generated the API documentation using ApiGen, I supported the team with the use of Git, and helped with code review and continuously integration. It was a unique experience to me.

I am an experienced back-end developer and team leader. I also have testing skills, and like to work on agile projects.
On this project I helped with the undertanding of the usda API, helped to define data modeling, built the interface to get the nutrients from a list of foods and calculate the nutrient amounts for the recipe. I also built the steps and tags funcionality and the error handling. Also helped with tests.
