Inspiration
We were motivated by the fact that most community college students struggle to map out their career. With limited access to tailored advice and ad lack material, we desired to build an integrated, safe space for serving students to grow in confidence, select the best major, and prepare them for their careers ahead.
What it does
Our app provides personalized career direction, major advising guidance, mentor matching, and interactive tools such as career games—yet within a single mobile app. It enables students to discover opportunities, develop communication skills, and tap into employer networks securely and efficiently.
How I built it
We developed a working prototype in HTML, C++. The application features a countdown timer, image builder, secure login, and interactive modules for student engagement. We prioritized clean aesthetics, simplicity, and student success features.
Challenges I ran into
We also struggled to combine different features smoothly, maintain data privacy, and coordinate the team under tight deadlines. Fixing UI bugs and coordinating ideas also needed clear communication and adaptable problem-solving.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
We are proud to go from idea in infancy to the stage of working prototype, remaining vigilant as a team, and developing a tool which can really ease the life of students while making a career.
What I learned
We designed how to work together, plan project timelines, and follow secure coding practices. We also discovered more about the actual needs of students while planning their careers.
What's next for Untitled
In the near future, we will be adding more to the project, incorporating chat with mentors in real-time, and featuring AI-driven career profiling. We plan to pilot the app at local colleges and get feedback so that we can improve and expand its reach.
