Inspiration

Looking at the engineering track, we noticed the option of creating a way to bring learning in STEM for those who may not be able to access it easily. Degrees can be expensive and going into a field like software engineering or cyber can be hard to do without one or at least some certifications. We wanted to create a platform to make learning coding for beginners accessible to show that is can be done for free and by anyone. In addition, we wanted to show ways in which our users can find certifications in the field to help get them in the door if they can't necessarily afford a degree.

Our Goal

To create a open learning environment for those with a passion for software engineering/and cyber security to grow their skills in a reasonable way.

How we built it

We built it using Bubble.io a free no code website

Challenges we ran into

Learning how to use bubble at first had a couple of challenges when it came to using the tools. We became stuck on the buttons a few times.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Providing a way for all users to broaden their horizons when it comes to learning about the cyber industry! Its a field that's ever growing and changing and can be so fascinating to try and keep track with. All people no matter who they are or how much of an education they can afford can use this app to help get them on the right path for furthering their skills. (:

What's next for Bright Horizons

We would want to expand the websites interactive level. We already have a place where users can submit projects with their questions for a response but allowing for there to be a forum where they can discuss with one another and learn from other peoples questions as well.
