Inspiration

Marketing teams and founders often have strong product ideas but struggle to turn a brief into a full campaign quickly. Strategy lives in one place, copy in another, visuals in another, and video concepts usually require even more manual work. We wanted to build a system that acts like an AI creative director, turning a simple prompt into a cohesive campaign package in minutes.

What it does

BriefToBrand takes a product brief and generates a complete marketing campaign across multiple formats. It creates campaign strategy, brand tone, slogans, ad copy, social posts, hashtags, video storyboard ideas, and AI-generated visuals. Instead of producing isolated text outputs, it returns a structured, interleaved campaign experience that combines copy and media in one workflow.

How we built it

We built the frontend with Next.js and TypeScript to provide a clean interface for entering campaign details and previewing results. The backend uses Express.js to validate inputs, orchestrate generation, and expose the API. Gemini powers both the structured text generation and the visual asset generation, while Cloud Storage stores media outputs and Firestore persists campaign records and metadata. We designed the prompting layer carefully so the model returns consistent JSON, platform-specific copy, and reusable creative assets instead of loose freeform text.

Challenges we ran into

One of the main challenges was getting reliable structured output from a generative model while still preserving creativity. We also had to coordinate multiple generation steps, including campaign copy, image creation, storage, and response assembly, without breaking the user experience. Another challenge was making the final output feel like a real campaign system rather than just a chatbot response, which required stronger schema design, rendering logic, and asset handling.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud that BriefToBrand goes beyond simple text generation and delivers an end-to-end campaign workflow. It generates not just messaging, but also visuals, storyboards, and downloadable campaign assets in a unified format. We also built it with a production-minded architecture using Next.js, Express, Firestore, Cloud Storage, and Gemini, so it can evolve from a hackathon project into a deployable product.

What we learned

We learned that prompt design matters as much as application code when building AI-native products. Strong schemas, validation, and orchestration are essential if you want outputs to be useful in real workflows. We also learned how powerful multimodal AI becomes when it is embedded into a full product pipeline rather than used as a standalone text generator.

What's next for BriefToBrand

The next step is to make BriefToBrand more collaborative and deployment-ready. We want to add campaign editing, brand memory, team workspaces, performance analytics, and direct publishing to channels like Instagram, TikTok, and Google Ads. Longer term, we see it becoming a full AI campaign operating system that helps teams move from idea to launch with far less manual effort.
