Inspiration

The inspiration behind EduPath came from observing how students are expected to make major life decisions with very little real guidance. Many of us personally experienced confusion while choosing streams, colleges, and career paths. At the same time, we noticed how employers struggle to find graduates with practical skills. This mismatch between education and employability motivated us to build a solution that could guide students early, continuously, and personally using AI.

What it does

EduPath is an AI-powered platform that supports students from school to employability. It offers personalized career prediction, smart college recommendations, skill gap analysis, AI-based interview feedback, scholarship tracking, and a 24/7 AI mentor all within one integrated ecosystem.

How we built it

We built EduPath using React, Node.js, Express, MongoDB, and Python-based AI models. We implemented machine learning techniques such as Logistic Regression, Decision Trees, NLP similarity ranking, and sentiment analysis, integrated with Gemini and Hugging Face models for intelligent interactions.

Challenges we ran into

Training reliable AI models with limited real-world data, aligning AI insights with actual student expectations, and creating a smooth user experience across many features were our biggest challenges.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully built a working end-to-end AI guidance system that provides meaningful, personalized insights. Seeing real students receive clarity and confidence from our platform was our biggest achievement.

What we learned

We learned how deeply technology must connect with user experience, data quality, and accessibility to create real impact. We also gained hands-on experience with scalable system design and applied machine learning.

What's next for Bridging the Gap Between Education and Employability

Next, we plan to expand EduPath with multilingual support, AI mentors, deeper industry integration, real-time skill assessments, and partnerships with educational institutions to reach millions of students across diverse backgrounds and regions.
