Bridging Cultures

Inspiration:

Living in a place like the United States, people would think that children would have more exposure to other cultures and races. Although they are taught to be inclusive, children are never told the differences and similarities between them and their peers or given personal connections to these people, causing them to feel distanced from other nationalities.

What it does

This website helps young students connect with people around the world and teaches them their similarities and differences.

How I built it

We used html in order to place things on our website, css to to customize our website, and javascript to make our code functional.

Challenges I ran into

We didnt understand how to execute our ideas.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

We were able to code 2 pages of our website within 3 hours instead of changing to a simpler plan and with the help of a mentor, we learned how to code.

What I learned

We learned how to put our ideas into code.

What's next for Bridging Cultures

We hope to create a map with facts about the world and also integrate a language translator in order to beat the language barrier.
