BridgED is a savings and investment platform helping parents fund their children’s education while empowering schools with efficient, transparent fee collection and financial planning tools.

Inspiration

In many underserved communities across Africa, families are forced to choose between daily survival and their children's education. School fees come in lump sums, but income doesn’t. As a result, children drop out, dreams are deferred, and generational poverty persists.

What it does

It help parents save gradually and invest ethically in line with their values — especially those who prefer Sharia-compliant finance. Every monthly contribution is pooled and invested in vetted, ethical portfolios. The returns are shared, boosting their ability to pay school fees on time.

How we built it

We spelt out the purpose and roles of each user (admin, parents, schools), we then leveraged on the power of link and other powerful extensions in there to bring it to life

To be able to showcase the ideas' concept into an MVP-like platform, it gave us joy
