In many Indian cities, bridges are getting older, but the way we inspect them has not changed much. Engineers still use paper forms, visit bridges manually, and then store reports in files that are hard to search and track. Because of this, damage is often noticed late, data is scattered, and emergency decisions are taken without real-time information.
Our team imagined a smarter way: what if every bridge inspection became digital, fast, and visible on a single screen? That idea became the Smart Bridge Inspection System. In our system, an engineer logs in, selects a bridge, fills a guided digital form, attaches photos, and the system instantly calculates a health score and status. All this information is saved automatically and shown on a live dashboard.
Now authorities can see which bridges are in Good, Warning, or Critical condition in seconds, instead of going through piles of paper. This helps them plan maintenance earlier, respond quickly to risky situations, and build a proper digital history for every bridge. Our story is about turning an old, manual process into a smart, data-driven system that makes infrastructure safer and easier to manage.
