Inspiration Millions of informal workers in India rely on word-of-mouth for daily jobs, with no structure, security, or visibility. We wanted to create a system where anyone can find work for tomorrow—instantly. What it does BridgePoint connects workers and businesses to nearby, short-term jobs. It enables quick hiring, verified work history, and structured daily freelancing for both technical and non-technical tasks. How we built it We developed a web platform using modern frontend frameworks and cloud deployment, focusing on location-based job matching, simple UI, and fast onboarding for both workers and employers. Challenges we ran into Building trust without prior work history, ensuring simplicity for non-tech users, and designing real-time local job matching were major challenges. Accomplishments that we're proud of We created a working prototype, defined a scalable revenue model, and addressed a real gap in the informal job market with a unique “work tomorrow” approach. What we learned User simplicity is everything. Trust systems, verification, and accessibility matter more than complex features in early-stage products. What's next for BridgePoint We plan to add AI-based matching, worker ratings, multilingual support, and expand into multiple regions to scale across India.
