Inspiration
We were inspired by a video game where you get to build bridges and then a car would cross the bridge, and you needed to have good bridge design in order to pass the level and not have the bridge break.
What it does
Our application simulates building a bridge in a limited amount of time then you get to drop weights on the bridge to see how your bridge holds up against them.
How we built it
We built our app using pygame for the game engine and pymunk for physics, and the whole project was coded in python.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into trouble installing pygame, as well as integrating all the seperate features we were working on all together.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of the physics of the weight as well as how we worked together to overcome our challenges.
What we learned
We learned how to use python since it was a new language to us and it was a new experience trying to build a game with a language unfamiliar to us.
What's next for Bridge Builder
We will work on implementing bridge physics.
