Inspiration

We wanted to make physics and engineering more engaging by letting players learn through building and experimentation rather than just reading about concepts.

What it does

Bridge Builder is a physics-based game where players design bridges and test them by sending vehicles across. Bridges must withstand realistic forces while staying within budget.

How we built it

We developed the game using a physics engine to simulate gravity, loads, and structural stress. Players can place beams and supports to create custom bridge designs.

Challenges we ran into

We developed the game using a physics engine to simulate gravity, loads, and structural stress. Players can place beams and supports to create custom bridge designs.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Balancing realistic physics with fun gameplay was difficult. We also had to ensure bridges behaved consistently during simulations.

What we learned

We learned about physics simulation, game design, and how real-world engineering principles can be translated into interactive gameplay.

What's next for Bridge Builder

We plan to add more materials, advanced physics, new vehicle types, multiplayer challenges, and a level editor for community-created maps.
