Inspiration:
Most AI voice agents today are either too expensive, locked into enterprise contracts, or lack natural conversation flow. I wanted to build something different, something accessible, fast, and truly autonomous that can cold call, qualify leads, and book meetings just like a human SDR.
The idea for Brib.live was born during the [bolt.new Hackathon], aiming to ship a fully-functional AI calling agent platform in under a week—real voice, real calls, real lead gen.
What it does:
Brib lets you launch AI voice agents that:
- Speak via ElevenLabs
- Understand context using Gemini/OpenAI
- Place outbound calls using Twilio
- Enforce rate limits and GDPR-safe data handling via Supabase Edge Functions
- Collect early access signups and phone leads from a clean marketing site
The core agent, “Alan,” can handle a live phone call from your browser, collect interest, respond to objections, and simulate a real sales call.
How I built it:
- 💻 React + Vite for the frontend
- ☁️ Supabase for auth, Postgres DB, and edge function hosting
- 🔊 ElevenLabs for voice synthesis
- 📞 Twilio for outbound call triggering
- 🧠 LLM for conversation memory + logic
- ⚙️ Bolt.new, Cursor (and ChatGPT) for rapid AI pair-programming
- 🔐 Full RLS, insert-only policies, and privacy-compliant logging
Challenges I ran into:
Getting Supabase migrations + RLS working properly with the SDK (returning: 'minimal' was the hidden fix)
- Edge functions losing in-memory rate-limit maps due to Deno isolate behavior
- Debugging voice call failures between Twilio and ElevenLabs in real time
- Coordinating multi-step flows entirely over CLI with no GUI deploys
Accomplishments that I'm proud of:
- Built and deployed a production-ready AI calling agent platform
- Created GDPR-compliant early access collection
- Made real, live phone calls from the landing page in 3 days
- Learned how to debug voice agents, edge functions, and Supabase migrations all in one weekend

- Built and deployed a production-ready AI calling agent platform

What's next for brib.
- Add multi-agent campaigns and scheduling
- Enable self-serve billing with Stripe
- Let users build their own voice flows with a no-code drag-and-drop builder
- Integrate CRM syncs like HubSpot & Close.com
