Inspiration
Our inspiration was the many references we make, despite not knowing exactly where they were from. We wanted to change this using our program.
What it does
Our program allows the user to input a quote, and it will find which movie it is from.
How we built it
We used a web scraper in order to find the quote the user inputted in a certain movie script.
Challenges we ran into
We struggled to find a good database with a sufficient amount of movies, and because of this, we had to use a limited database.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We managed to make a functioning proof of concept that could be expanded to a larger database.
What we learned
We learned how to use Maven and Intellij to make a web scraper
What's next for Where Have I Heard That Before?
If we find a larger database, we could get a more broadly functional program.
