Inspiration

We constantly see that students struggle with ideas and information around how to write the essays for the college. This tool helps and guides them what could be a good path to write these essays and act like a coach for them , based on their personality and information.

What it does

Essay Theme Suggester Agent: Analyzes personal stories, key experiences, skills, and values to suggest compelling essay themes or angles.
Google Docs Integration: Automatically creates and shares formatted Google Docs with essay theme suggestions.
Personal Story Extractor Agent: (Planned/Optional) Extracts key personal stories and values from user input.

How we built it

Essay Writer ADK is an AI-powered tool designed to help students brainstorm, refine, and organize themes for their college essays. It leverages Google LLM (Gemini) and Google Docs API to provide structured, actionable essay theme suggestions based on personal stories and experiences. It leverages power of google ADK , Gemini, Python and Google Docs API coming together.

Challenges we ran into

We built this very quickly and learned how to use google ADK.
initial setup was easy but later we started running into challenges around what LLM should we use. Since we wanted to start small we used google docs API to leverage googl's API.
We are still looking into how to make the final document as presentable this will be like a work in progress later.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Able to quickly understand the power of Google ADK and leverage the ADK documentation.
Able to create a simple use case but which can solve problems for many busy parents for their kids admission.
This can also be useful for Kinds whose parents or guardians are not strong in English but want their kids to apply for better educational institutes.
