Inspiration
I was tired of endlessly scrolling through Yelp, Instagram, Google Maps, and even Craigslist, trying to figure out what to do next — especially while traveling or on weekends in my own city.
Each platform seemed to show me the same popular spots, or buried the truly unique experiences under layers of reviews, ads, and irrelevant content. I wanted something more spontaneous, more tailored to how I felt in the moment, and something that could surface those hidden gems run by locals — like a backyard cooking class, a sunset drum circle, or a pop-up thrift fair.
What it does
Location-aware: it figures out where you are and what’s close by.
Mood-based: you pick your vibe — chill, thrill, foodie, artsy, or whatever else we add — and it serves up tailored adventures.
Dynamic itineraries: it builds a little journey for you, with maps and fun cards.
Community-driven: anyone can upload their own adventure — from local guides offering bike tours, to home cooks teaching gnocchi, to photographers hosting golden-hour sessions.
Engage: like, review, and bookmark experiences.
How we built it
I built it in 2 days on bolt. I used some ChatGPT, midjourney, and Aurachat.io to help with some technical question and design related elements. It's more of a proof of concept at this stage. There's still a lot to do!
Challenges we ran into
Integration with MongoDB - technical programming stuff that I've never messed with. I am from the design/creative world so I have a lot to learn!
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Launching a really fun concept that really could work with more time. Finding a cool domain and connecting it.
What we learned
Even with AI, there's still a lot to learn.
What's next for Vibe Venture
Prove the concept by letting people explore adventures nearby and add their own.
Test:
Geolocation to get user’s current location.
Mood selector (chill, thrill, foodie, artsy, etc.).
Display nearby adventures on cards + map.
Create user accounts (signup/login).
Users can upload their own adventures with title, description, images, price, and pin on map.

Is there a way to incorporate AI within the site to help feature things people would like to discover?
