Breeding System Integration

Inspiration

As part of our project roadmap we planned on implementing a breeding system which will allow 2 dogs from the 8,888 NFT collection to come together to create a puppy that shares similar attributes/traits to its parents.

What it does

It allows users with 2 or more dogs to breed them together to potentially create a much rarer puppy overall.

How we built it

We built the breeding system using smart contracts on the Solana Blockchain and through the use of other programming languages which enable us to handle the back-end process.

Challenges we ran into

In terms of challenges we didn't run into many but we did require a lot of testing phases to make sure it functioned correctly and the new metadata that was created for the puppy was correct and in the right format.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are very happy that it works fully and is functional to an extent where it has been made possible to do. We think many other projects would love to use the same code structure and source rather than trying to recreate it from scratch.

What we learned

We learned many different things about smart contract integration and how to use certain call functions.

What's next for Breeding System Integration

The next stage for the Breeding System Integration will be to roll it out fully for our project and then open source the code for other projects to use alongside us.
