Inspiration
The Friends for Drew Foundation's Friends for Life (FFL) App inspired us to create a quick guided breathing exercise screen which could be implemented when the app is first opened to boost interactiveness of the app
What it does
multiple settings for different types of breathing such as energize and relax mode. The user follows the alternating lines breathing in and out with the image
How we built it
we decided to stretch our creativity and build this animation using matplotlib, a function we recently used in our cs class. We used a looping sin wave as the main part
Challenges we ran into
Because matplotlib isn't used for animations, improving the UX was difficult. We also did not know how to use any other software so we just stuck to what we have learned.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Our entire team feels very accomplished after finishing our project. Though it may look rough we all felt as though we learned a lot and it was good practice for applying what we know. The workshops were also very interesting and allowed for more learning opportunities
What we learned
Since this was our first Bhacks, we learned a lot about how to prepare for our next hackathon.
What's next for Breathing App
We will begin learned how to do actual animation on animation software and improve our current model with better UX.
