What's better than using what you know or what you've learned to spread awareness which could save peoples lives.

What it does

It makes you aware about breast cancer, it's symptoms, risks, all up to treatments containing pictorial representation to help you understand the disease better.

How I built it

I built it using Python and for the UI part, I've used a framework called Kivy. Finally I packaged it for android using buildozer. I've also used a bit of Pyjnius for accessing few android API within python.

Challenges I ran into

Coming up with a good UI was a bit time consuming. Plus the concept of creating android applications with python is itself new so I did ran into few technical challenges as well.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Finally it's working and have a good looking UI and maybe someday it'll be helping somebody, that's surely a moment of proud.

What I learned

I didn't know anything about breast cancer at all. Thanks to this hackathon, now I do. I also learned about packaging for android.

What's next for Breast Cancer Awareness

There are some ideas in my mind right now for the app but next would be probably to add a section where you can find breast cancer doctors near you and maybe to create an appointment right from the app.
