Locking for VR game experiences
What it does
First person game to breakthru a wall by hitting the blocks when they are activated (change color). Activation is randomly keyed to background music track with music video playing in background.
How we built it
Challenges we ran into
Initially tried to use WEBVR using AFRAME and the AFRAME templates to do this but found that WEBVR controller code for VIVE and KINECT was not stable. Switched to Unity.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
First Vive game. First time integrating music and motion.
What we learned
More work on the AFrame and WEBVR KINECT avatering with Vive HMD is needed. Linking audio elements to changing state of game elements.
What's next for Breakthru
Add ENFLUX and KINECT body tracking so that we can include kicking Add / shape wall to take advantage 360 degree space and add spacial sound prompts using ambisonic methods Add two additional levels and release play
