Inspiration
We were inspired by the lack of resources available to adolescents that both provides reliable information/updated about the coronavirus and list resources to aid them in these times. Hence, we decided to create a website that contains both.
What it does
The website provides information and links to valuable resources for teens. Additionally, the website also takes down questions/concerns that users may have regarding the content that appears on the site.
How we built it
The website was built using VSCode in the languages of HTML and CSS.
Challenges we ran into
Some of the challenges included properly formatting the HTML form and styling the tabs to remain at the top of the webpage.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that we were able to incorporate links to other webpages and to have the pages flow smoothly in our website.
What we learned
We learned that designing a website takes time and patience - additionally, it is important to keep track of references when working with CSS.
What's next for Breaking Down COVID-19
Hopefully, we can incorporate a feature on the website that provides a real-time newsfeed relating to COVID-19.
