Break The Chain

Inspiration

The situation in my city inspired me because I am a Software Engineer and I can earn remotely and get the things I need, not other people around can do that, especially daily wagers. They do not beg because of self-respect and are facing difficult times.

What it does

It breaks the chain of coronavirus and also helps the people in the society who needs help. Currently what countries are doing is they are trying to follow the chain of the virus. Reality is the moment they reach one node of the chain it has already done the damage by spreading the virus to other nodes. So we need something that can cross the node and place a cap over it. We need something that can be one step ahead of the chain.

The solution is we need to make the data of cases public so that people in an area or city can see if they have met the positive case in the past 10 days or not? If yes they need to consult the doctor immediately and stop meeting the new people. This way we can stop the damage and place a cap on the nodes before it spreads. I see this way we can break the chain and get over the virus.

Then there is another thing in this time most of the countries have a lockdown situation. We have to save our people who are more vulnerable to the virus by connecting them to young people. For example if some have no money and he needs food, or even someone has money but he is old age and more vulnerable to virus. In both cases they need help. So we will connect them with the helping hands this way they will be able to get those things without being exposed to the virus.

How I built it

I built it using React Native and Firebase. I started working on it with the motive to upload it to stores as well but then I got to know that this kind of application is only uploaded by some Govt institute or healthcare company. But still, I had the chance to help the community if it gets selected by Facebook.

I had to stop my daily routine work.

What's next for Break The Chain

Get in touch with some Govt or health organization to see if this thing is applicable or not. Because many counter-arguments can be given in terms of privacy and all.
