The social is to take inspiration from others to do the same good things

The Admin panel where the admin had some of the controls not the messages because it is encrypted so

Health is the where users can check their things and we can know the better of them and the others in the menu

Today I started so only one mood showing there
Inspiration
I noticed something frightening — I was checking my phone 96 times a day. My friends were sitting across from me but we were all staring at screens. Real conversations were being replaced by notifications. I built Break Free because I felt this personally and I know millions of others do too.
What it does
Break Free is a digital wellness app with one unusual goal — it succeeds when you stop using it.
- 📱 Daily Mood Check-in — log how you feel every day and track emotional patterns over time
- 📊 Screen Time Tracker — upload your screen time screenshots or log manually with stock-market style charts (1D, 1W, 1M, 3M, 6M, 1Y, 3Y, 5Y)
- 🤖 AI Insight Report — coming soon — AI will analyze your mood and screen time correlation
- 🌍 Real World Challenges — one daily challenge to get you offline: talk to a stranger, teach someone something, eat a screen-free meal
- 👥 Break Free Social — a deliberately un-addictive community feed where people share their journey. No algorithm. No engagement traps. Just real stories.
- 💬 Encrypted Messaging — end-to-end encrypted private messages to connect with accountability partners
- 💊 Health Tracking — manual steps and water intake logging correlated with mood data
- 🛡️ Admin Panel — full content moderation, challenge scheduling, and analytics at /admin
- 📄 PDF Wellness Report — export your entire wellness journey as a beautiful designed PDF
How we built it
Built entirely using MeDo — describing features in natural language and iterating through multi-turn conversations. The app evolved from a simple mood tracker into a full digital wellness platform through dozens of prompts. MeDo handled React components, localStorage data architecture, chart implementations, encryption logic, and the complete admin dashboard.
Challenges we faced
- Implementing real E2E encryption using Web Crypto API — messages were showing "[Message could not be decrypted]" and required complete rebuild
- Building a stock-market style screen time chart with 8 time range selectors
- Designing a social feed that is intentionally un-addictive — fighting every UX instinct that pushes engagement
- Creating an admin panel that is completely hidden from regular users
- Keeping all personal wellness data on-device while making social posts publicly shareable
What we learned
The most powerful insight: the best app experience is sometimes no app at all. Designing for user freedom rather than user retention completely changed how we thought about every feature.
